Gasthaus Sonne in Waischenfeld

We were on the recommendation of a colleague for 5 days vacation in the sun Waischenfeld. It's a very nice inn. The food was great every night. The menu of the day always had a highlight, so that we couldn't even taste the highly praised currywurst. The rooms are simple but functional. Everything was very clean. All in all it was a very nice holiday and we will definitely come back to Barbara, with whom we had a lot of fun.

The waitress greeted us with maximum unfriendliness, you should have noticed that it would have been better to wait in the car. The food was not worth a single cent and an imposition for your own delicatessen vault. The ambience was reminiscent of the already closed station rooms of the 80s. Of course there won't be a next time, I'd rather hit my knee with a rusty nail!

Very nice inn with typical furnishings and dishes. Been there three times and it was very, very tasty. I especially have to highlight the service super nice and friendly even when the booth is full. And the deer shredded was a dream. Unfortunately not on offer every day. Menu varies a little daily. Conclusion ! When back in Waischenfeld then eat at Gasthof Sonne !!

In our experience, hospitality is not very important here. Had specially asked by phone whether snacks were offered in the afternoon. We were then able to choose generously between sausage salad and lunch plates. But only provided that all three of us choose the same thing. The sausage salad was okay, but unfortunately the beer too warm for our taste. The waitress seemed annoyed and overwhelmed, although only one other table was occupied.

Tip: if you are told in an unfriendly manner that the reserved and confirmed room has already been allocated differently, just try to get a room at the Hotel Post ... or reserve a room elsewhere 👍

Food Very good home cooking and varied

We are (or were) returning guests. But the boss urgently needs to work on her temper. Anyone who talks to guests like this soon won't have any more. In Corona times that should be doubly clear in gastronomy ... We didn't get to the meal this time, because they'd rather sniff at us than cook for us. Otherwise it's okay to mediocre. Fortunately, there are good alternatives in the Franconian!

I always like to come to Waischenfeld to relax. I enjoy the conditions and am not looking for any errors. The room was clean the food was excellent the beer cold WiFi fast what more could you want? Coming back soon. I am looking forward to the next time

Extremely rude welcome and service. The room did not correspond at all to the pictures on the homepage, equipment from the 70s. Breakfast was ok, but that's about it. Never again.

A great place to rest from a hike e.g. food very good and delicious, above all very plentiful and inexpensive. They are friendly people and on the ball too.
